Strategic Business Development Leader

The role combines strategic leadership with deep market expertise, where the professional will guide acquisitions, develop alliances, and enable the organisation to seize large-scale opportunities that redefine its market positioning.

This high-impact position supports the firm's broader strategic growth plan to enhance stakeholder value, strengthen its land portfolio, and drive new business ventures across India. The leader will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring strategic land parcels, from sourcing to transaction closure and handover for development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of senior professionals across India to drive land acquisition and business development initiatives
  • Identify and evaluate strategic land parcels, including opportunity pipeline creation, financial viability assessment, commercial negotiations, and agreement finalisation
  • Build and present business cases for new initiatives, partnerships, and alliances; influence decision-making at board level
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key market stakeholders to stay ahead of trends
  • Oversee transaction management, including collaboration with investment funds and developers on JV/JD opportunities, pre-leased assets, and land acquisitions, particularly in North India

Requirements:

  • 20-30 years of experience in business development, land acquisition, and strategic growth within the real estate sector
  • Proven track record with leading real estate brands
  • Strong understanding of bye-laws, compliance requirements, and regulatory processes governing land and project development
  • Expertise in financial viability analysis, business planning, and presentations
  • Exceptional negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for strategic and financial analysis
