Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Application Support Engineer at Riverforest Connections Private Limited, you will be responsible for meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while maintaining high-quality working relationships with colleagues and counterparts. Your key focus areas will include:

Strategic Focus
  • Meeting SLAs with agreed quality and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and counterparts.
  • Collaborating with others to achieve team goals and managing day-to-day tasks of the application support team in Mumbai.
  • Supporting Business As Usual (BAU) activities for in-house and on-premises applications.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
  • Troubleshooting problems, solving investigations, and resolving day-to-day reported application issues.
  • Providing technical support for business applications, tools, and technologies.
  • Supporting monitoring tools, job scheduling tools, and bug tracker tools.
Database Support
  • Providing SQL/Oracle database support for associated applications.
  • Providing appropriate status reporting and updates as requested by the Team Lead/Line/Project/Change Manager.
Operational Management
  • Assisting in maintaining Data Quality and Data Integrity.
  • Adopting and applying best practice approaches for the operating environment.
  • Effective monitoring system status alerts and escalation where appropriate.
People Leadership
  • To be a mentor to new joiners or colleagues who need assistance.
  • Working collaboratively across the firm to achieve the goals of the team/company.
Governance & Risk
  • Assisting with query handling, quality error analysis, identifying root cause, and helping with solutions to close the gaps.
  • Helping resolve Information Security Corrective actions.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation related to support processes.
Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in application support.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server SQL queries, joins, and Oracle database.
  • Basic knowledge of Azure cloud concepts.
  • Knowledge of working with ticketing tools like Jira.
  • Knowledge of working with job scheduling tools and monitoring tools.
  • Strong team focus and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with knowledge databases, Confluence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, investigation, and resolution of data-related problems.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to provide after-hours support.
  • Availability to support the on-call rota.
  • Must have a strong team focus and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with technical documentation and content management.
  • Exposure to business contingency standards and acceptable practices that comply with statutory and audit requirements.
  • Ability to respond to user requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Be proactive.
