Medical Coding Team Lead Position

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of medical coders, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This includes monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and providing guidance and support to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and improve team performance through coaching and mentoring.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure high-quality coding and efficient workflow.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide expert coding advice to junior team members.
  • Oversee the completion of client projects within agreed timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-6 years' experience in medical coding, preferably with a specialization in surgery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a strong understanding of coding principles and regulations. Relevant certifications (e.g. CPC, CCS) are also desirable.
