Job Description

The Sales Manager at Platton Inc will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships with clients. This involves identifying potential clients, building strong relationships, and providing tailored logistics solutions to meet their needs. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of freight forwarding processes and excellent communication skills to effectively negotiate and present customized quotes and service proposals to clients. Additionally, they will work closely with internal operations and pricing teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communication in CRM systems.

About the Role

This is a fully remote position, requiring the ability to work independently and proactively in a remote environment. The ideal candidate will have experience selling logistics solutions and possess strong market knowledge, customer focus, and negotiation skills. They will also be proficient in English and familiar with CRM tools and sales tracking systems. We are looking for a proactive, results-driven professional who can adapt sales strategies to meet the unique needs of our clients and achieve or exceed sales targets and performance KPIs set by management.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales within the international freight forwarding/logistics industry
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding processes (ocean & air freight, customs, trucking, warehousing)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote environment
  • Experience working with international clients, understanding cultural differences and communication styles
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, container specifications, and freight documentation (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tracking systems
