Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Oracle Utilities implementation team. This role involves working directly with a utility client to oversee the successful delivery of project deliverables, ensuring business value meets customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day tasks of a small team, while adhering to the scope, schedule, and budget of the project. Key responsibilities include owning the project plan and JIRA board, tracking risks and issues, facilitating problem resolution, and managing communication and escalation of issues in a timely manner.

The selected candidate will also provide project status reports and debriefs to company leadership on a weekly basis and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Oracle product teams, developers, testers, and project managers.

As a liaison between technical teams and business users, this person will ensure alignment and provide go-live and post-implementation support to ensure solution effectiveness.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the utilities domain.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in the utilities (water, gas, electric) industry.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (waterfall and agile).
  • Experienced in leading projects utilizing standard project management tools (MS project, JIRA, Smartsheet, etc.).

Others

The selected candidate may hold a Master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and 4+ years of experience working in the utilities (water, gas, electric) industry are preferred qualifications.

Experience working in a call center environment, knowledge of Oracle utilities products (CX4U, CCB, C2M, etc.), and experience in full-cycle Oracle Utilities implementations or upgrades are also desirable.
