About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the Indian vertical transportation market, customer needs, competitor landscape, and regulatory requirements. They will be responsible for developing and implementing a business strategy to achieve sales targets, promote TUV SUD's local profile, and establish strong relationships with customers and regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Indian vertical transportation market, including customer needs, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide market insights and recommendations to update and refine the VT strategy for India.
  • Establish and implement a business development plan to drive sales growth and meet agreed targets.
  • Promote TUV SUD as a leading authority in vertical transportation services in India.
  • Identify and develop sales leads through proactive industry observation, research, and networking.
  • Maintain effective customer relationship management, understanding customer structures, needs, and constraints.
  • Scale business operations through continuous extension of the customer base and retention strategies.
  • Prepare sales presentations and materials in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • C-coordinate joint customer presentations and visits with global VT experts.
  • Collaborate with other TUV SUD subsidiaries to leverage expertise and resources.
  • Monitor upcoming events and prepare TUV SUD's participation.
Operations and Resources:
  • E-establish and manage efficient operations in accordance with TUV SUD's quality management system and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Oversee profit and loss responsibility for TUV SUD's VT activities in India.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and ensure timely submission.
  • Plan and manage resources effectively, including recruitment, development, and leadership of VT experts.
  • E-nsure necessary training and authorization for individual roles and levels.
  • Manage internal authorization processes in accordance with TUV SUD's QMS.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in relevant local languages and English (min. B2 level).

  • Excellent telephone skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS office software.
  • Mobility, flexibility, and willingness for business trips in the region.
  • Team player with collaborative mindset.
Desired Skills:
  • B-asic knowledge of lift technology and industry.
  • Familiarity with inspections and certifications of VT; further training will be provided upon joining.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical).
  • Master degree beneficial, particularly business-oriented one (MBA).
