We are seeking an experienced HVAC design manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality, sustainable building solutions. This role is ideal for a mechanical engineer with expertise in designing complex HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
This position involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless design integration, while also providing detailed input to junior engineers and drafting engineers to maintain quality drawings.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with experience working on high-rise projects and coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:- Design HVAC systems for high-rise residential, commercial, and hospitality projects
- Calculate heating and cooling needs
- Propose new products, technologies, and design improvements with feasibility studies
- Evaluate technical and commercial options and make recommendations
- Develop energy-saving and environmentally friendly designs and products
- Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure seamless design integration
- Provide detailed input to junior engineers and drafting engineers for quality drawings
- Monitor drawing progress and quality in Revit and CAD till GFC stage
- Prepare documentation for sanction purposes as per codes and local norms
- Attend design review meetings and obtain signoff on concept designs
- Prepare design brief reports and detail designs as per approved concepts and schemes
- Check drawings against checklists and submit them as per commitments
- Prepare HVAC duct routes and equipment layouts in Revit/BIM
- Detail duct routes, prepare bills of materials, and prepare tender drawings and specifications
- Conduct quality checks and inspections at site during different stages of construction
- Obtain LEED/IGBC certification for buildings
- Review shop drawings and technical data sheets
- Maintain documentation of all design materials and drawings
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 10+ years' experience or Master's degree in mechanical engineering with 7+ years' experience
- Working knowledge of Revit software
