Financial Operations Specialist

Job Overview:

  • This role provides day-to-day support and development in the Expense Module.
  • Data accuracy is ensured through seamless ongoing enhancements of new Workday features/functionality.
  • The Financial Operations Specialist partners with COE(s) to understand pain points, prioritize requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency by leveraging Workday functionality.
  • This position leads Workday enabled finance Expenses workstream(s) to design, configure, test, and deploy leading practice-based business processes and solutions.
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders and internal Business Systems teams is essential.
  • Business requirements are understood, the Workday solution is configured, demonstrated through testing systems, and assisted in testing the Workday solution.
  • Configuration requirements are gathered and problem-solved with business stakeholders.
  • Broadening internal knowledge of Workday configuration is achieved through hands-on training to cross-functional teams.
  • Co-ordination between business partner groups and the Workday team ensures effective delivery of Workday implementations.
  • Reports are built to support both domestically and internationally for various areas of the Workday product.
  • Problems are solved and multiple solutions proposed for business requirements within Workday.
  • Workday upgrades are managed and new/revised functionality implemented within Workday.
  • A partnership exists with HR teams to analyze business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions within the Workday ecosystem.
  • Business processes are optimized by enhancing workflows, automating manual tasks, and providing actionable insights through data reporting and analytics.
  • Clear, comprehensive, documented business requirements are created and maintained for requested changes, enhancements, or projects.
