We are The Black Box Co., an emerging fashion brand that seamlessly blends the rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship with the modern aesthetics of Western fashion. Our mission is to craft unique Indo-Western fusion clothing that resonates with today's trend-conscious audience while celebrating timeless traditions.

As a Fashion Designer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our vision to life. We are seeking a talented and innovative individual to join our team and contribute their expertise to create stunning designs that showcase the perfect blend of Eastern elegance and Western chic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Conceptualize and create designs for an Indo-Western fusion clothing line, including dresses, co-ords, jumpsuits, and more. Develop collections in line with the brand's vision and market trends. Incorporate elements of Indian textiles, prints, and embroidery into contemporary silhouettes.
  • Trend Research: Stay updated on global fashion trends, fabrics, and color palettes. Research Indian traditional techniques and materials to incorporate innovative ideas.
  • Technical Expertise: Create sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings for designs. Work with pattern makers and sample makers to ensure designs are executed perfectly. Oversee fittings, alterations, and quality control of prototypes and final pieces.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the production and sourcing teams to select fabrics, trims, and embellishments. Coordinate with marketing and merchandising teams to align collections with brand campaigns and sales strategies.
  • Sustainability Focus: Explore sustainable and eco-friendly materials and processes where possible to align with modern consumer values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in designing, preferably in Indo-Western or fusion wear.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian textiles, embroidery, and crafts.
  • Excellent sketching and technical drawing skills.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of aesthetics.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
