Job Opportunity

The role encompasses covering existing countries along with respective country economists, and contributing to the team in initiating coverage in new countries within the region.

  • Prior experience of macro research, country coverage or economics is a plus point
  • Mandatory requirement: keen interest in global financial markets and knowledge of recent developments.
  • Sound understanding of economic concepts and statistical skills with experience in working with large amounts of data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and good understanding of econometrics are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to write research reports and comment on market developments.
  • Familiarity with database tools – Bloomberg, Macrobond, Haver, World.

About The Role:

This senior economist position requires expertise in macro research, country coverage or economics. We seek an individual with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct macroeconomic research and analysis for existing and potential countries within the region.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with country economists and other stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with the team to initiate coverage in new countries within the region.
  4. Produce high-quality research reports and presentations that meet our standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field.
  • Prior experience in macro research, country coverage or economics.
  • Advanced Excel skills and good understanding of econometrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with database tools – Bloomberg, Macrobond, Haver, World.
