Drive Economic Growth with In-Depth Analysis

We are seeking a skilled Senior Economist to join our team and contribute to the development of in-depth research and analytics, particularly for Indian markets. As a Senior Economist, you will work closely with our team to identify economic trends and themes, monitor global economic developments, and write research commentary to accompany data analysis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Modeling and Forecasting: Build and maintain econometric models to forecast future trends and risks.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze macroeconomic data (both history and forecasts) to identify economic trends and themes.
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor and assess global economic developments and their potential impact on markets.
  • Research Commentary: Write and publish research commentary to accompany data analysis and discuss market drivers.
  • Project Work: Work on macro and market projects of relevance to the Indian market, conducting secondary research as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Master's in Economics/MBA/CFA.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of post-qualification work experience as an Economic Analyst/Macro Strategist/Junior Economist dealing primarily with modeling work and research analysis.
  • Skills: Strong quantitative and mathematical skills with experience of working with large amounts of data, advanced Excel, VBA analytical skills, and knowledge of econometrics.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to write research reports and comment on market developments.
  • Databases: Working knowledge of database tools – Macrobond, CEIC, World Bank, CME, and other financial databases; various central bank (RBI) and statistical websites (e.g. MOSPI).
