Public Relations Communications Specialist Job Description

The Public Relations Communications Specialist is responsible for developing media relations, crafting press releases, managing the organization's reputation, and enhancing communication strategies.

This role requires a strong understanding of print, digital, social, and website media, as well as proficiency in Canva and Photoshop. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communication strategies
  • Manage print, digital, social, and website media to enhance brand presence
  • Create and design engaging content using Canva and Photoshop
  • Draft, edit, and distribute press releases to relevant media outlets
  • Manage and grow the company's presence on other social media platforms
  • Coordinate with print media for coverage and advertisements
  • Mournitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
  • Handle crisis communication
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations and communication
  • Postgraduate degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Canva and Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of print, digital, social, and website media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in handling press releases, on print & digital media
