Job Title:

Microsoft Dynamics AX Consultant

Job Description:

The role involves providing expert-level support for enterprise application environments, with a focus on data extraction, transformation and performance optimization. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of AX modules and proficiency in SQL development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and support all core Dynamics AX modules, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Inventory Management (IM), Fixed Assets (FA) and Projects.
  • Work independently to deep dive into concepts after a high-level knowledge transfer.
  • Debug existing AX customizations.
  • Trace and understand business logic in X++ and SQL.
  • Extract and transform data from Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and migration.
  • Perform pre- and post-validation to ensure data quality.
  • Create documentation for SQL processes, data mappings and validation steps.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 or later), strong knowledge of X++ development and AX architecture, proficiency in MS SQL Server and query optimization, experience with data migration, transformation and validation, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and collaboration abilities and familiarity with other database systems.
