Job Title: IT Operations Manager

The IT Operations Manager is a critical role that oversees the day-to-day operations of the IT department. This position involves managing IT infrastructure, ensuring availability and reliability of IT systems, and leading a team of IT professionals.

This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in IT operations. A strategic thinker can align IT Operations with business objectives while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability of Technology.

• Supervise IT Operations: Assist in managing the IT operations team to ensure smooth operation of all IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications.
• Assist in supervising and mentoring IT staff, providing guidance and support. Coordinate and manage daily IT operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor Systems Performance: Regularly monitor system performance and take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Ensure the security and integrity of all IT systems and data. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Incident Management: Oversee incident management processes, ensuring that incidents are resolved quickly and effectively to minimize impact on business operations.
• Infrastructure Management: Assist in planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades and new installations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the IT operations team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Security Compliance: Ensure IT operations comply with security policies and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of company data.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal regulations. Implement and manage security measures to protect data and IT infrastructure.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.
• Support: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for IT issues escalated by the IT support team.
• Training to staff as needed. Address and resolve user issues and complaints in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain user documentation and guides.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and support.
• Evaluate vendor performance and ensure services are delivered as per agreements.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. They should have minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

A strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services is required. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of IT professionals is also necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues are essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders are required.

Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are preferred.

A deep understanding of IT Service Management and IT service operations Management is also preferred. Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is also necessary.
