Business Development Manager Role

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager with strong experience in the renewable energy industry.

The ideal candidate will drive strategic initiatives to expand our footprint in solar, wind and energy storage domains, identify new business channels and support go-to-market plans for clean energy projects and digital energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of innovative marketing strategies tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the solar, wind, BESS sector in India and Globally
  • Deep exposure to understanding RFPs and creating techno-commercial proposals with estimations especially in the energy and renewables domain tailored to clients' requirements
  • Administer lead generation activities, maintaining lead data, and conducting customer outreach to pitch products, provide demos, and secure conversions
  • Fostering end-to-end sales processes from lead generation to closure and payment collection, ensuring seamless customer experiences
  • SCADA/ PPC/ EMS/ BESS/ Analytics Software knowledge is a must
  • Sales Process Know-how: From lead generation and product demos to proposal finalization and deal closure, with a focus on consultative and strategic selling
  • Analyzing market trends, customer preferences and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and enhance product positioning
  • Implementing innovative sales tactics, exploring new business avenues and driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives
  • Providing in-depth technical demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the advanced features and benefits of the software and hardware solutions
  • Conducting regular market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive threats, enabling proactive adjustments to the sales and marketing strategies to maintain a competitive edge
Candidate Profile:

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business

At least 4 years of experience in business development or project sales in renewable energy

Demonstrated success in securing deals or partnerships in the renewable domain

Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills
