Who are we looking for

We are seeking a skilled Music Educator who is passionate about supporting diverse learners and fostering inclusive music education. The ideal candidate must have expertise in designing and implementing music lessons that accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Deliver Lessons: Design and implement music lessons that accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Use Adaptive Techniques: Utilise assistive technologies, visual aids, instruments, and alternative communication methods to support student participation.
  • Encourage Expression and Communication: Promote music as a means of self-expression, communication, and emotional regulation.
  • Therapeutic Integration: Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists to integrate therapeutic goals into musical activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music or Music Education
  • 3 to 7 years of experience working with children in a mainstream school or Special school
  • Teaching qualification or experience in special education (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and adaptive music education
  • Ability to play an instrument and facilitate group music singing 
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude
