Payroll Manager Job Description

The ideal candidate will oversee the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, including salaries, wages, deductions, and benefits. They will co-ordinate with the payroll vendor on system enhancement, validate full and final settlements for resigned employees, manage employee benefits programs, and ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage HR systems from hire to retire data management, identify opportunities to improve the process, bring efficiency and effectiveness in processes.
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, including salaries, wages, deductions, and benefits.
  • Coordinate with payroll vendor on system enhancement, validate full and final settlements for resigned employees.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations, labor laws, and company policies.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll queries and issues promptly and accurately.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in human resources / MBA.
  • 15 to 20 years of experience in HR, with a focus on HR Operations hire to retire process, Payroll and compliance (preferably exposure to APAC countries).
  • Handled a team of 5 to 10 people for 5 + years in previous roles.
  • Proficiency in HRM systems such as Workday/Oracle.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization, locally and globally.
  • Effective collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
