Project Budget Manager

This position is responsible for managing project budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cost control, with experience in developing and tracking project budgets.

The Project Budget Manager will be the primary point of contact for finance team and project managers, providing critical support to ensure accurate financial planning and budgeting.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Financial Planning:
      • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, including all costs and expenses.
      • Collaborate with project managers to identify and mitigate potential cost overruns.
    • Cost Control:
      • Monitor project expenditure against budget, identifying areas where cost savings can be achieved.
      • Work closely with finance team to track actual project costs versus budgets.
    • Reporting & Analysis:
      • Prepare regular project budget reports, providing key performance indicators (KPIs) on budget compliance.
      • Support senior leadership in making informed business decisions by providing data-driven insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in cost control, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project accounting, time tracking, and resource management systems.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, with experience using ERP/project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CMA, CA, or CPA.
