Storage Engineer Job Opportunity

The role of Storage Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of a mission-critical banking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing level 2 and 3 support for storage systems, including SAN, NAS, ECS, and MF DASD + Tape.

The ideal candidate will have experience in performing daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using runbooks. They will also acknowledge and triage alerts, log and update incidents in ServiceNow/BMC, and execute backups/restores and routine jobs under change and supervision.

Additional responsibilities include escalating to L2/L3 with accurate diagnostics, logs, and metrics, ensuring compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements, participating in DR/BCP drills to maintain platform readiness, and owning documentation, evidence-driven troubleshooting, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Preferred certifications include Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE Storage certifications (Associate/Professional), Brocade/Cisco SAN certifications; AWS S3/Object Storage fundamentals (nice-to-have).
