Job Overview

The Hitachi Storage SME will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of SAN and storage environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate with customer support teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for assigned tasks, functional areas or projects.
  • Support the design, operation, workflow and issue resolution for the storage infrastructure, including capacity management and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Infrastructure Events:
    • Capacity Management: Monitor and analyze storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity to prevent downtime and optimize resources.
    • Problem Resolution: Diagnose and document preliminary problems, then coordinate with Hitachi Global Support for incident resolution.
  • Investigate and Diagnose:
    • Raise problem records for root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Mentor and Train Junior Admins:

We are looking for a candidate with hands-on experience on Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages operations support, including zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, storage replication technologies like GAD, HUR, True Copy, Local Replication etc, and monitoring tools like OPS Center Analyser, Hi-Track. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
