Senior Occupational Health Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Health Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients attending our Occupational Health Centre (OHC).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the OHC, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and standards.
  • - Assess and monitor patients' health status, documenting findings accurately and maintaining confidentiality in patient records.
  • - Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans based on the patients' needs and medical history.
  • - Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians while observing and documenting patients' responses.
  • - Conduct pre-employment and periodic health assessments for employees, including physical examinations and laboratory tests.
  • - Manage the OHC nursing staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure professional development and competency.
  • - Ensure the clinic is a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols, as well as maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for the OHC.
  • - Stay updated with the latest practices and guidelines in occupational health nursing to provide evidence-based care.
  • - Facilitate communication between employees and management regarding health and safety concerns, and assist in the development of wellness programs.
  • - Respond to emergencies and provide immediate medical interventions as necessary while following emergency protocols.
  • - Maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies and equipment, and assist in budgeting and resource allocation for the OHC.
  • - Participate in training programs and continuous education to enhance nursing skills and knowledge relevant to occupational health.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualifications:
  • - Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant nursing qualification; advanced certifications are an advantage.
  • - Current nursing license and registration with the relevant nursing authority.
  • - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an occupational health or similar setting.
