Job Description

Contract Compliance Specialist Role:

This is a key position within our organization, focused on ensuring the effective implementation of contract lifecycle management (CLM) policies and tools across various sectors.

The specialist will manage and guide users on all post-signature contract activities, including tracking of obligations, SLA/KPI compliance, and creating risk mitigation plans for non-compliances, if any. They will also monitor the obligations and KPIs tracked by the business once the contract is awarded till termination or closure of the contract.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Issue proactive reminders to support business owners and/or other accountable parties of need to perform contract activities and fulfill contractual obligations throughout the contract term.
  2. Periodic review with business teams to ensure all contractual terms & conditions, SLA/KPI tracking are adhered to.
  3. Highlight delays in compliance or cases where penalty needs to be levied for contractual non-compliance.
  4. Create a dashboard to the management, including contracts under management, manage deliverables, timelines, obligations, etc.
  5. Highlight usage of contract compliances outside of CLM tool and systems, Monitor performance metrics against contractually agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  6. Collaborate with operational teams and vendors to address underperformance.
  7. Escalate risks and initiate corrective actions for repeated or high-impact breaches.
  8. Coordinate with procurement, operations, and vendor teams to resolve queries and clarify obligations.
  9. Provide guidance and leadership on contract-related matters to cross-functional team members.
  10. Proactively investigate and recommend process improvement steps to streamline contract compliance-related processes.
  11. Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders.
  12. Support Legal/Finance/Business in handling dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration proceedings.
  13. Notify and liaise with Legal/Finance/Business to report major claims and keep Legal/Finance/Business updated on any critical development during execution of the contract.
