Hardware Asset Management Expert

The Hardware Asset Management Expert plays a critical role in the IT operations team, focusing on the end-to-end lifecycle management of physical assets using specialized tools and methodologies.

This position is based in Hyderabad and reports directly to senior leadership.

As a key contributor to enterprise operations, this role ensures that hardware assets are accurately tracked, maintained, and optimized from procurement through retirement.

The Hardware Asset Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, policy adherence, and operational efficiency.

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of hardware assets, from acquisition and deployment to decommissioning and disposal.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to asset records, including ownership, location, status, and warranty information.
  • Monitor asset utilization and refresh cycles to support strategic planning and cost optimization.
  • Configure and maintain specialized software modules to support enterprise asset operations.
  • Automate workflows for asset receiving, assignment, return, and disposal using best practices.
  • Integrate asset management systems with related modules to ensure data consistency.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of physical inventory across locations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal asset management policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Manage asset tagging, tracking, and reporting processes to support financial and operational audits.
  • Partner with IT, finance, and compliance teams to align asset management practices with business needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on hardware asset management processes and specialized software capabilities.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on asset lifecycle procedures and system usage.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on asset inventory, lifecycle status, and key performance indicators.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance asset visibility and reduce manual effort.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • 6+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, with a focus on hardware lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience with specialized software tools, including configuration and workflow automation.
  • Strong understanding of ITAM best practices, asset lifecycle processes, and inventory control.
  • Experience with asset audits, compliance reporting, and vendor contract management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
