Senior HR Executive

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior HR Executive to join our team. This is a key role that requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive organisational change.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, payroll, compliance, and employee relations. They will also assist in drafting and implementing HR policies, SOPs, and appraisal systems aligned with business needs.

A strong background in HR operations, compliance, and payroll is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in a similar position and be fluent in English. Knowledge of Bengali/Hindi is considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the senior leadership in driving organisational change and people initiatives.
  • Take ownership of HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, compliance (PF, ESI, labour laws) and employee relations.
  • Assist in drafting and implementing HR policies, SOPs and appraisal systems aligned with business needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely HR documentation, databases and MIS reports.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, ensuring clarity, transparency and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, auditors and statutory bodies as required.
  • Provide analytical insights on workforce data to support decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of HR experience (manufacturing/engineering/industrial background preferred).
  • Completed schooling in an English-medium environment with strong written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Bengali/Hindi will be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, compliance and payroll.
  • Ability to work in a lean team environment with high accountability.
  • Hands-on attitude with strong Excel and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable navigating change and helping establish new HR systems & processes.
