Job Role: Area Operations Manager

Job Type: Full Time

Minimum 6 years of experience in the hospitality industry is required.

Job Brief

We seek an experienced operations manager to oversee a cluster or region with 10-15 properties each having 40-50 keys. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high service quality and managing various functions including front office, housekeeping, guest relations, F&B, maintenance & engineering, human resources, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understand company vision, operational structure, organisational hierarchy, user demographics, etc.
  2. Regularly review and implement company operations standard operating procedures (SOPs) within your region.
  3. Oversee regional operations ensuring adherence to company-defined standards in all departments including front office, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance & engineering, training & development, etc.
  4. Develop and foster a positive work environment for high overall productivity.
  5. Conduct regular audits to monitor service quality, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
  6. Manage operational budgets by allocating resources effectively and minimising expenses through cost-effective strategies.
  7. Ensure timely hostel pre-launches by ensuring operational readiness and quality checks.
  8. Enhance guest satisfaction by addressing escalations, implementing service improvements, and ensuring a positive experience.
  9. Work with other internal departments.
  10. Build relationships with industry professionals to stay updated on trends and best practices.
  11. Regularly optimise SOPs to build a high service quality experience for guests.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in hospitality/hotel management.
  2. Minimum 6 years of experience in the hospitality industry with extensive operational experience in managing multiple properties or regions.
  3. Proven track record of successfully scaling teams, managing diverse operations, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  5. Fluency in English and local language is essential.
  6. Willingsness to travel and manage hotels/hostels across various locations.
