Job Title: Senior IP Leader

We are seeking a Senior Manager Intellectual Property to partner with us in identifying and developing innovative solutions.

This position will lead a team of professionals and report to the Head of Intellectual Property.

The role is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires strategic thinking to turn intellectual property into business value.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the growing intellectual property portfolio.
  • Enforce optimal protection of intellectual property and third-party interests.
  • Collaborate with teams to:
    • Identify products for introduction into development.
    • Devise effective product development strategies.
    • Provide guidance on patentability.
  • Draft patents, freedom to operate reports, infringement analysis, and mitigation strategies.
  • File and prosecute inventive solutions to build significant wealth of intellectual property.
  • Monitor and evaluate third-party scientific and patent publications.
  • Provide inputs to support legal agreements and negotiations.
  • Partner with other functions to provide strategic advice.
  • Manage patent, trademark, copyright issues.
  • Maintain record architecture and content of inventions, know-how, trade secrets, and registered intellectual property.
  • Educate management and scientists on best practices for protection.
  • Lead, empower, and coach a team of professionals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • PhD or postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Desirable additional specialization in Intellectual Property.
  • At least 13+ years of work experience with team handling skills.
  • Experience in product clearances, patent drafting, prosecution, and ancillary areas.
  • Litigation, litigation support, and licensing experience desired.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and a team-player capable of working under deadlines.
  • Experience with regulatory exclusivity and interplay with IP exclusiveness.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
