As a Cost Management Trainee, you will assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents for construction projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior quantity surveyors in analyzing project costs, budgets, and schedules to ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Conduct on-site measurements and inspections to verify progress and compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with senior quantity surveyors to evaluate contractor claims, variations, and valuations.
  • Ensure proper documentation is in place, especially with respect to Drawing Register Maintenance.

As a Trainee Cost Manager, you will also be responsible for:

  • Quantity Take-off using AutoCAD:
  • Verify that the drawing layers, scales, and dimensions are appropriately defined.
  • Understand the scope of work by reviewing floor plans, sections, and elevations.
  • Identify the elements to be measured, such as walls, slabs, columns, and beams.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Education - B.E/B.Tech- Civil/ Mechanical / Electrical
  • 0-1 year of work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

This role requires an insatiable hunger to learn and understand existing practices to enhance skills quickly. You must also be able to read and understand construction drawings and drawing plans.
