Pension Systems Calculation Specialist

Role Summary:

We are seeking Pension Calculation Analysts to be part of our team in delivering high-quality solutions for pension benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse requirements from user needs or detailed benefit specifications.
  • Agree project scope and provide accurate estimates for the work.
  • Configure, test, implement and maintain pension benefit calculations ranging from simple to complex calculations.
  • Develop a professional approach to task delivery with technical expertise and commercial awareness.
  • Assess changes and enhancements to client's pension schemes by evaluating their impact on the core platform.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience and understanding of actuarial and/or pension calculations.
  • A good understanding of UK pensions arrangements is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Technical software development aptitude and ability.
  • Experience of configuration and/or testing of calculations in respect of UK pension administration platforms and systems is desirable.
  • Ability to understand data schema models.
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL scripts in either SQL or Oracle environment.
  • Knowledge of building calculation solutions using MS Excel and integrating into applications.
  • Qualifications in financial services or IT environment.
  • Experience in Pensions Industry or Scheme Administration.
  • Demonstrable software development capability.
  • Commercial awareness and operational efficiencies.
