Senior Data Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our organization. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Work extensively with JSON data formats for integration and processing.
  • Design, implement payloads/API calls, work with tools like Postman, Bruno etc, to consume REST APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between services/systems.
  • Analyze and interpret data to generate actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Review and understand legacy system code to ensure smooth integration and migration processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Hands-on experience with JSON and REST API integration, should be able to work with payloads etc.
  • Ability to read and understand legacy code (expert-level knowledge not required).
