Job Description

We are looking for a skilled backend engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications using Python.

This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend services and RESTful APIs. You will be responsible for building and managing cloud-native applications using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, CloudWatch, API Gateway, and IAM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
  • Build and manage cloud-native applications using AWS services.
  • Implement event-driven architectures and related messaging tools.
  • Design and maintain databases ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent models into backend systems.
  • Ensure secure API development using OAuth2, JWT, and other modern authentication/authorization methods.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
  • Strong expertise in FastAPI or similar frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and services in the AWS ecosystem.
  • Proven experience with messaging/queueing tools.
  • Proficiency in working with various databases.

As a senior backend engineer, you will play a key role in system architecture planning. This includes defining system requirements, designing and implementing data storage solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.

Performance Tuning and Scalability Improvements

You will work closely with the DevOps team to identify performance bottlenecks and implement scalability improvements. This includes monitoring application performance, optimizing database queries, and implementing caching mechanisms.
