Senior Backend Developer Position

Overview of the Job:

Our organization is seeking a seasoned and skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry standards.
  • Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
  • Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Professional experience in backend development with a focus on JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Strong proficiency in RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Hands-on experience with databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis).
  • Expertise in microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Good to Have:

The following skills are desirable but not mandatory:

  • Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
  • Familiarity with Serverless (AWS Lambda, etc.).
  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) for full-stack contributions.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
