Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Backend Developer / Architect with a strong track record of building and scaling large-scale backend systems. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in system architecture, performance optimization, and technical leadership. You will design robust backend infrastructures, make key architectural decisions, and solve critical challenges related to scalability, cost-efficiency, and security.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement backend systems designed for scalability, resilience, and performance.

- Lead the backend development lifecycle, from design and planning to deployment and monitoring.

- Make critical decisions on technology stacks, frameworks, and system architecture.

- Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and integrations with external systems.

- Identify bottlenecks and optimize for performance, availability, and cost across distributed systems.

- Implement advanced security standards to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.

- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, DevOps teams, and stakeholders to align product and technical goals.

- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to other engineers on the team when required.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of professional backend development experience with a strong architectural background.

- Deep knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, .NET, or Go, and experience working across multiple tech stacks.

- Proven experience in designing distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-availability systems.

- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.

- Demonstrated ability to scale applications to handle high traffic and large datasets.

- Solid grasp of API development, microservices, and asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Advanced experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- In-depth knowledge of security practices, including encryption, authentication, and authorization models.

- Experience leading technical teams or guiding architectural direction in a senior capacity.

Nice-to-Have :

- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.

- Prior work with serverless architectures or hybrid cloud environments.

- Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs demonstrating thought leadership.
