Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist

About the Role

The successful candidate will be accountable for the full Procure to Pay (P2P) management of 5 to 8 tanker vessels. The ideal individual will have strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to enhance ordering behavior through the promotion of cost savings.

  • Evaluate and improve supplier selection, considering total cost of ownership, to ensure the delivery of goods at the fastest and most economical way possible.
  • Implement compliance to framework agreements and consistently practice catalogue buying, educating requestors on best practices.
  • In collaboration with Category Management, develop knowledge of the global supplier base and establish relationships with key suppliers worldwide.
  • Select the best offer through careful analysis of supplier quotations and forwarder quotations.
  • Timely and consistent handling and follow-up on orders and invoices in collaboration with suppliers, local agents, and vessels.
  • Maintain and develop positive performance-driven relationships between key stakeholders while identifying potential suppliers to ensure availability of items.

  • Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet business needs, including cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Catalogue Buying: Implement catalogue buying practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring a stable supply chain.
