Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist
At our organization, we're looking for a skilled and driven individual to join our procurement team. As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends and developing strategies to optimize purchasing decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure timely order submission.
- Proactively identify and evaluate potential vendors to determine the best fit for our organization's needs.
- Analyze documented comparative costs submitted by suppliers in the RFP process to ensure optimal pricing.
- Monitor and update item, commodity, and other tables as given in running purchase order software application to maintain accurate records.
- Inspect and test samples of products and services from vendors to document features and benefits.
- Document costs for assigned vendors and generate monthly cost reports for stakeholders.
- Administer trends and market conditions to maintain an efficient flow of information for all materials.
- Prepare inputs on design of various cost savings programs and support identifying new suppliers.
- Monitor order fulfillment against purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, supply chain management, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).
- Moderate level experience working in procurement / purchasing operational environment.
- Experience conducting cost-benefit analysis and using procurement modules for managing purchase orders, supplier information, and contract management.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with suppliers/vendors.
