Transaction Monitoring/AML Analyst

This is a unique opportunity to work as a Transaction Monitoring/AML Analyst, where you will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring transactions to prevent money laundering and other financial crimes.

  • Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in KYC Sanctions Screening, with overall experience not exceeding 7 years. They should also be from the Bangalore location, willing to undergo training in our office there.
  • We are looking for candidates with exceptional research and analytical skills, who can analyze large amounts of data, decipher higher risk attributes, and develop well-reasoned recommendations.

Preferred knowledge includes screening individuals and entities against global sanction lists issued by OFAC, EU, UN, and other international and government agencies.

Candidates should have good knowledge of regulatory practices in AML, OFAC, and sanctions, as well as local laws. Analytical and logical reasoning skills are essential for this role.

The ideal candidate should be able to build relationships with AML Investigations units and effectively communicate and transfer information for case investigations.

Additionally, they should be proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and have strong documentation skills to clearly articulate alert disposition.

As requested, participants in special projects, quality improvement initiatives, and other similar exercises are desired.

Required Qualifications & Capabilities

  • Experience in compliance or related position is necessary.
  • Candidates should have familiarity with internal systems and processes or similar processes at other institutions.
  • Self-starters, capable of working under minimum supervision, are preferred.

Professional & Educational Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Computer Science, or equivalent is preferred. Full-time master's degree/equivalent is an added bonus.
