Job Title: Cluster Manager

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Cluster Manager. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our cluster, ensuring the delivery of high-quality produce to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Head Production & Operations: Direct and oversee the production planning, logistics, and customer delivery metrics within the cluster.
  • Close Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to obtain market forecasts and plan production accordingly to meet customer demands.
  • Contract Farming Activities: Execute contracting farming activities with network farmers, adhering to Company practices.
  • Farmer Mobilisation & Training: Mobilise and finalise suitable farmers, motivate, train, and guide them in adopting regenerative organic production methods as per UFCo protocols.
  • Monitoring & Quality Control: Monitor all farming activities to ensure adherence to Company practices and prevent chemical usage.
  • Collection Centre Management: Manage collection centre activities, receiving vegetables from network farmers, sorting, grading, and storage.
  • Produce Quality Assurance: Ensure produce quality and work closely with operations teams to supply produce to the Collection Centre/Distribution Centre.
  • RAC Level Input Planning: Plan RAC level input production according to vegetable production plans.
  • Technical Support & Feedback: Collaborate with technical teams to execute best practices in regenerative agriculture and provide feedback from the field to the Technical Centre of Excellence.
  • Budget Planning & Cost Optimisation: Develop and implement budget plans and cost optimisation strategies for all activities.
  • Expansion Opportunities: Identify and explore opportunities for expanding across multiple locations within the same region.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in production management and operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of regenerative organic production methods and UFCo protocols.
  • Experience in managing collection centres and supply chain logistics.
