Senior Finance & Accounts Manager

A senior finance and accounts manager is required to lead the finance team in a manufacturing industry.

  • Job Description:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Enhance the reporting model via ERP and develop improved reports from ERP systems.
  • Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting:
  2. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards
  3. - Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance
  4. - Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records
  5. - Enhance the reporting model via ERP and develop improved reports from ERP systems
  6. Taxation:
  7. - Manage GST & Statutory compliances, including preparation and filing of returns
  8. - Assist with income tax filings and compliance with tax regulations
  9. - Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the company
  10. Auditing:
  11. - Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process
  12. - Implement audit recommendations and enhance internal controls
  13. Budgeting and Forecasting:
  14. - Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  15. - Monitor budget variances and report significant issues to management
  16. Process Improvement:
  17. - Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement improvements
  18. - Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
  19. Team Leadership:
  20. - Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
  21. - Foster a collaborative team environment focused on achieving departmental goals
  22. People Management:
  23. - Define performance targets for team members, provide timely feedback, and offer improvement insights and support
  24. - Provide functional and managerial leadership through training to develop team capabilities and prepare employees for higher responsibilities
  25. - Build and sustain an engaged and motivated workforce
  26. Qualifications:
  27. CA QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED
  28. - 8-10 years of experience in the Accounts Department, with at least 5 years on-site working as a Chartered Accountant
  29. - Solid background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation regulations applicable in India

Key Qualifications:
