Strategic Sourcing Leader

As a seasoned IT sourcing professional, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues to deliver business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Relationship Management:
  • Foster effective collaboration and ensure clear communication with key client stakeholders and colleagues within and across regions.
  • Develop stakeholder matrices per category/location, maintaining regular engagement and driving high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers.
Sourcing Planning:
  • Perform thorough spend and contract analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Formulate category-specific cost/service models for business needs.
  • Work with clients and colleagues to define and implement IT strategies and sourcing area plans for global and regional initiatives.
Management of Sourcing Initiatives:
  • Lead and execute IT (HW, SW, SaaS, Network, Telecom, Co-lo) sourcing projects from end-to-end in line with agreed timelines and service quality standards.
  • Deliver allocated savings targets as assigned to categories and locations through the effective management of sourcing initiatives.
  • Adhere to defined sourcing policies and processes.
  • Maintain high ethical standards in supplier/client engagements.
Sourcing Support:
  • Provide sourcing subject matter expertise to support client engagements and pitches.
  • Offer sourcing planning and execution services across dynamic multi-client environments.
Requirements:

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • University degree (ideally in economics or Supply Management) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Additional sourcing/procurement certification is advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills.

Additionally, candidates should have:

  • A minimum 12-15 years' experience and demonstrable success in strategic sourcing gained in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to positively influence people's decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Deep understanding of license/models and IT applications/infrastructure.
  • Strong negotiation and contract knowledge with ability to converse/contract with suppliers/clients.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Experience conducting tenders/request for proposals/quotation.
  • Cross-category sourcing experience is beneficial.
