Performance Optimization Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Performance Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our performance engineering group, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our applications and services.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining performance tests to ensure that our applications meet the required service level agreements.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performance testing, monitoring, and optimization using tools such as load generators, APMs, and cloud-based infrastructure platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate ability to test custom services using load generating tools (ie Load runner, Jmeter, SOAP UI) across multiple protocols (Web HTTP, Siebel etc).
  • Experience working in CI/CD environments and cloud-based infrastructures and applications using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gatling, GitHub, Maven.
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Microservices, AWS cloud, Oracle OCI.
  • Demonstrate experience in performance test scripting and executing test scripts.
  • Ability to analyze NFR's, volumetric analysis.
  • Should have knowledge and hands-on for C, Java, VB macros, Basic of SQL, shell scripts for customizing scripts and innovative automation process.
  • Sound understanding of JAVA/JVM architecture, JVM, GC, Class loading, Thread dump, DB (oracle and SQL server) analysis.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, profiling for app stack using APM tools such as HP Diagnostics/ CA Wily/ Dynatrace/ AppDynamics etc and in-depth analysis of server & application metric data.
  • Able to accurately analyze performance test results and highlight issues in both technical and business language.
