Procurement Executive Job Description

The Procurement Executive plays a vital role in sourcing, purchasing, and managing vendors for materials, components, and services required in the Electric Vehicle industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement & Sourcing:
    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for EV components and raw materials by utilizing effective vendor management strategies.
    • Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings through smart procurement techniques.
    • Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules and service requirements by maintaining open communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers by fostering trust, transparency, and mutual benefit.
    • Monitor vendor performance (quality, delivery timelines, compliance) to ensure that vendors meet our high standards.
    • Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities as per company and industry standards to guarantee quality and compliance.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
    • Work closely with production, R&D, and service teams to forecast material requirements and optimize inventory levels.
    • Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory by leveraging data-driven insights.
    • Coordinate logistics for timely deliveries from domestic and international suppliers to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements by staying up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations.
    • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate procurement records to facilitate efficient and transparent transactions.
    • Handle import/export documentation for EV parts and equipment to comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Cost & Quality Optimization:
    • Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and inform procurement decisions.
    • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure procured items meet specifications and quality standards.
    • Contribute to localization of components to reduce costs and import dependency while ensuring quality and reliability.
