Lead the IB PYP

We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to lead our Primary Years Programme.

The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an engaging, student-centered environment and will work closely with teachers, students, and parents to promote the principles of the IB framework.

Foster a culture of inquiry and reflection by working collaboratively with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the PYP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Develop, implement, and review the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines.
  • Teacher Support: Collaborate with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the PYP and foster a culture of inquiry and reflection.
  • Transdisciplinary Units: Provide guidance and support for teachers in the development of transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Professional Development: Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the PYP.
  • Assessment Coordination: Coordinate and support student assessments and maintain records as per IB requirements.
  • IB Standards: Stay updated with IB developments and changes to ensure the school's adherence to IB standards.
  • Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication between all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization.

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree, Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching and a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth.
