The ideal candidate for this position will possess a deep understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations.
They should also have hands-on experience with BigID or similar data discovery/classification tools. The selected individual will be responsible for configuring BigID policies, classifiers, data flows, and discovery and classification operations modules.
- Integrate BigID with security tools such as Microsoft Information Protection, DLP solutions, or SIEM platforms.
- Implement metadata management, data catalogs, and data lineage concepts.
- Develop regex, data classification rules, and content inspection techniques.
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, PowerShell) is highly desirable.
Key Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with BigID or similar data discovery/classification tools.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance regulations.
- Experience working with structured data in RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL) and unstructured data sources (file servers, SharePoint, cloud repositories).
- Proficiency in configuring BigID policies, classifiers, data flows, and discovery and classification operations modules.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Beneficial
- BigID Certified Implementation Specialist or equivalent.
- Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) certifications.
- Data privacy or governance certifications (e.g., CIPP, CDMP, CIPM) are highly valued.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning for data security analytics.
- Familiarity with security operations tools, SIEM platforms, and incident management systems.
