Property Acquisition Associate Job Overview

This role focuses on identifying and acquiring properties that meet our business needs.

  • Market Research & Property Identification:
    • Conduct market research to identify potential locations for new retail stores.
    • Evaluate local demographics, footfall potential, and competitive landscapes to determine the best sites for acquisition.
  • Site Visits & Initial Assessments:
    • Visit potential sites to assess their suitability based on location, accessibility, and visibility.
    • Prepare initial reports with key findings and recommendations for shortlisted properties.
  • Negotiation Support:
    • Support senior managers in negotiating lease terms, rental agreements, or purchase contracts with landlords or brokers.
    • Gather necessary documents and coordinate follow-ups with property owners or agents.
  • Coordination & Documentation:
    • Work closely with legal and finance teams to compile and review documents related to property acquisition and agreements.
    • Maintain updated records of property details, contracts, and approvals.
  • Vendor & Broker Relations:
    • Build relationships with brokers, agents, and developers to stay informed about new property listings.
    • Coordinate and manage broker communications and property inquiries.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Assistance:
    • Assist in ensuring all legal, zoning, and regulatory requirements are met for selected properties.
    • Support in obtaining necessary permits and approvals in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Reporting & Feedback:
    • Prepare regular updates and summaries on property acquisition progress for the team or management.
    • Provide feedback on challenges and opportunities during the acquisition process.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Basic understanding of real estate laws and property regulations.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
