Bookkeeper Position

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping, accounting standards, and taxation rules.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a solid understanding of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB software, as well as excellent English communication skills.

In addition to the technical requirements, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.
  • Process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Work with accountants to prepare financial reports and ensure compliance.
  • Manage invoicing, receipts, and expense tracking.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (Australian clients or companies preferred).
  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.
  • Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal). Clear, professional, and confident communicator.
  • Work Style: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
