Our executive sous chef will be responsible for:

  • Training and supervising kitchen personnel in their respective sections
  • Ensuring personal cleanliness and proper hygiene practices among all team members
  • Producing high-quality food in designated areas and maintaining consistency with quality and portion specifications
  • Inspecting the taste, temperature, and visual appeal of prepared food items to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  • Properly storing equipment and perishable items in designated places and adhering to hygienic storage procedures
  • Preventing the use of contaminated products during food preparation and preventing colleagues who are ill from handling food
  • Ensuring colleagues follow proper hygiene and sanitation procedures when handling food, equipment, and utensils
  • Closely collaborating with the Executive Steward to maintain the kitchen's cleanliness
  • Adhering to safety, health, security, and loss control policies, as well as government legislation

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
