Young people in India are increasingly disconnected from each other. As cities urbanize, we spend more time indoors and online, and less time connecting meaningfully. Even the most tender human experiences like dating, friendship, and collaboration often happen behind screens.

We want to change that. We're building a platform for young Indians to reconnect in real life: to read books together, debate politics, brainstorm startups, flirt, volunteer, run, play games, or just find genuine community in any way they like.

The mission is clear: help young Indians reconnect with each other in meaningful ways, offline.

Your Role:

Financial Operations Lead

You will lead our financial strategy, fundraising, and operational scale-up. You'll ensure we have the resources, systems, and processes to grow sustainably from Day 1.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop Financial Models: Create unit economics, CAC/LTV, and marketplace liquidity models.
  • Lead Fundraising Efforts: Prepare investor materials, manage financial modeling, and oversee investor relations.
  • Build Financial Systems: Develop accounting, compliance, reporting, unit economics, and CAC/LTV analysis systems.
  • Oversee Compliance and Accounting: Ensure compliance, accounting, and corporate governance.

Marketplace Operations:

  • Design Marketplace Operations Playbook: Execute the operations playbook.
  • Operational Processes: Design processes for venue partnerships, equipment rentals, and event logistics.
  • Balance Marketplace Liquidity: Ensure enough hosts and events meet attendee demand.
  • Trust and Safety Operations: Build trust and safety operations, including dispute resolution, refunds, and community guidelines.

Scaling & Partnerships:

  • Oversee Legal Frameworks: Manage contracts, NDAs, and corporate structure.
  • Forge Partnerships: Partner with venues, service providers, and student organizations.
  • Develop KPI Dashboards: Create dashboards for event volume, ticket sales, host retention, and repeat attendance.
  • Hire Operational Staff: Hire and manage community managers and operational staff as we grow.

Requirements:

  • Strong Background in Finance: Experience in finance, consulting, or startup operations.
  • Prior Experience in Marketplaces: Prior experience in marketplaces or consumer platforms is highly valued.
  • Comfort Managing Logistics: Comfort managing logistics, partnerships, and customer support.
  • Strategic Thinker: A strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves in early execution.
  • Passion for Building Communities: Passion for building communities and scaling people-first businesses.

Compensation:

  • Salary: Up to ~10 LPA salary
  • Equity: Up to 10% equity, vested over 3 years
