Role Overview

Drive Service Excellence in SMT Operations

As a seasoned service professional with 12+ years of experience in the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) domain, you will lead our service operations for SMT equipment, focusing on Fuji SMT systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SMT processes, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance, particularly with Fuji equipment.

You will be responsible for leading a team of field service engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and performance management to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SMT service operations, primarily focusing on Fuji platforms.
  • Install, commission, and support Fuji SMT lines at customer sites with minimal downtime.
  • Supervise a team of field service engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex service and maintenance issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and audits to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Maintain strong communication with Fuji Japan for technical updates and escalations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless customer support.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation according to industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical training to internal teams and customer personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 12+ years of experience in SMT industry, with at least 8 years of hands-on experience with Fuji SMT machines.
  • In-depth knowledge of Fuji platforms: NXTR, NXT series, feeders, placement heads, and vision systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in hardware and software aspects of SMT machines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required (domestic and possibly international).
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and SMT process optimization is advantageous.
  • Experience with other SMT brands (e.g., Panasonic, Yamaha, ASM) is beneficial.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Fuji Certified Engineer (if applicable)
  • IPC-A-610 or equivalent SMT standards training
