Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Director to spearhead our technology function and drive the development of our digital backbone for sports facilities and players across India.

The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years leading teams, and strong hands-on expertise in modern tech stacks such as Node.js, React, AWS, microservices, and databases.

They will be responsible for establishing best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and scalability, as well as mentoring and upskilling a young and enthusiastic team of developers.

The successful candidate will have proven experience scaling consumer-facing or marketplace products, and will be able to establish and enforce development best practices.

They will also need to be a great communicator and mentor who thrives in fast-paced, growing environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire technology strategy – execution and delivery.
  • Establish best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and scalability.
  • Architect and oversee new feature development to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Mentor and upskill a young, enthusiastic team of developers.
  • Collaborate closely with product and business teams to translate vision into technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of system performance, security, and scalability as the company grows.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years leading teams.
