Job Description

The resource(s) would be responding to requests coming into our service desk or to tasks assigned to them in the same service desk by the supervisor. This is a vital role that requires strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand (On-Site)

Years of Experience: 1-2 years

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical assistance for users of client software by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or requests.
  2. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems using the IT Service Management system.
  3. Escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources or vendors.
  4. Relay on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  5. Interact with end-users to understand issues from a business perspective.
  6. Work with end-users to reproduce reported issues in test environments and report those issues to the development team or application vendor.
  7. Perform maintenance of existing custom software, including end-user support.
  8. Monitor performance of applications after implementation.
  9. Able to communicate status and issues to the supervisor.

Service desk trouble shooting and support services include password resets, add/remove O365 licenses, fix broken mapped network drives, add/remove PC user, operating systems, add printers, install client-side software, troubleshoot client-side network connection, office 365 troubleshooting, setup email on mobile devices, adding, updating, and maintaining client run book service information as needed.

Answer incoming Service Desk emails by creating tickets and collecting basic client information, company information, user, issue, and who's affected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
