Project Leader

We are seeking an accomplished Project Leader to oversee projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional expertise in planning, coordination, and execution of complex projects. This includes proficient knowledge of project management software like MS Project/Primavera (preferred) and proficiency in AutoCAD.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing detailed project plans with clear milestones and timelines. They must ensure timely project completion while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimation & Project Planning:
    • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and project budgets.
    • Review tender documents, client specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Develop project schedules with milestones and timelines to meet project requirements.
  • Site Visits & Client Coordination:
    • Conduct thorough site visits to understand the scope and constraints of the project.
    • Provide technical input during client meetings and negotiations to ensure effective communication.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants throughout the project.
  • Design & Technical Coordination:
    • Coordinate closely with design and engineering teams for PEB drawings, anchor bolt layouts, and civil/structural designs.
    • Validate drawings for constructability and practical execution to minimize risks.
    • Ensure timely release of 'Good for Construction' drawings to meet project timelines.
  • Production Planning & Procurement:
    • Plan fabrication schedules aligned with site requirements to ensure efficient production.
    • Monitor production progress at the factory and ensure quality control measures are in place.
    • Coordinate procurement of materials, including steel, plates, roofing, cladding, and accessories.
    • Track material dispatches to the site according to the project schedule.
  • Site Execution & Monitoring:
    • Oversee foundation, erection, roofing, cladding, and finishing works on-site.
    • Manage subcontractors, labor, and equipment deployment to optimize project efficiency.
    • Ensure adherence to strict safety, quality, and timeline requirements.
    • Resolve on-site issues promptly to prevent delays and maintain project momentum.
  • Project Completion & Handover:
    • Verify snag lists and ensure rectifications before handing over the project.
    • Prepare final documentation, including as-built drawings, quality reports, and completion certificates.
    • Conduct client walkthroughs and obtain approvals to finalize the project.
    • Support the accounts/finance team in payment milestone certifications.

Requirements:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7–12 years of experience in project management, preferably in the PEB / Industrial / Infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of project estimation, design review, and production planning.
  • Expertise in site execution of civil & steel/PEB projects.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Tamil (Hindi is an added advantage).
  • Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera (preferred), AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Other: willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
